If you simply can’t wait till the summer when World Cup fever kicks off, football enthusiasts and team players across the country can warm up by entering the annual football tournament hosted by Nottingham solicitors Fraser Brown.
Last year 27 companies hit fever pitch and wholeheartedly entered into the spirit of the competition in the effort to win big. The firm’s inaugural tournament not only raised £4,200 for Nottinghamshire Hospice but gave the participating companies the opportunity to make great business connections.
In the aim to surpass last year’s success the firm has organised a fun filled evening on 15 April, that will ignite your hopes and dreams for world cup victory!
This year the firm is on a quest to enrol even more corporate teams, up to 32 in total, in a bid to raise funds for children’s charity When You Wish Upon a Star. Organiser John Tansur is keen to build on last year’s triumphant efforts. He said, "Our first tournament proved incredibly successful in both raising money for charity and bringing businesses together. We were overwhelmed by the support of Nottingham’s business community last year and I’m eager to recruit even more teams this year. It’s all for a deserving cause and if last year’s anything to go by, a great evening will be had by all."
When You Wish Upon a Star is Fraser Brown’s nominated charity for the financial year. Their primary aim is to grant the wishes of children between the ages of 2 - 16 years old suffering from life threatening illnesses. The children’s wishes can range from toys and books to visiting Disneyland and meeting their favourite pop idols.
The football tournament is being held at The University of Nottingham’s Sports Centre on 15 April, where the games will kick off at 6.15pm. Entrance fees are £150 per 8-man team, which includes an Indian buffet provided by Cumin Indian Restaurant and drinks for the players. To enrol a team please contact John Tansur on 0115 9888 777 or email jtansur@fraserbrown.com.
