Accidents in a Shop, Restaurant or Cafe

- Cables trailing across the shop floor
- Poorly positioned mats at the entrance/exit to a shop
- Faulty equipment such as trolleys and escalator
- Unsafe facilities such as toilets and changing areas
Shops/restaurants/cafes are responsible for accidents occurring inside their premises, in the car park or in the surrounding area.
To assist with your claim, you should try to record details of any witnesses to the accident, take any photos of the area if possible and ensure you report the incident to a member of staff.
