Pre-Litigation Recovery

Going to court should always be seen as a last resort. However, if this is the option you have been left with then a letter before action must be sent to give the other party once last chance to settle the matter. This is a formal letter that should contain several important details. We can draft and action this for you.

A statutory demand can be used to ask for payment of a debt from an individual or company. When this is received by a company or individual, they have 21 days to either settle the debt or reach an agreement to pay. If no agreement is reached, then bankruptcy proceedings may be started (if they owe at least £750) or winding up of a limited company that owes more than £750.
